3D printing allows us to create truly custom, made-to-order pieces, but it works a little differently than mass-produced items. We want to be transparent about our process so you know what to expect when ordering from us.

 

Custom Designs Take Time
 

Every custom piece starts with design work. Unlike ready-made products, custom designs are created by hand using specialized software before anything is printed. This design phase can take anywhere from 1 hour to 48 hours, depending on the complexity, level of detail, and number of revisions involved.

Design time includes:

• Creating the model from scratch or modifying an existing one

• Adjusting dimensions and proportions

• Testing the design for strength and printability

 

Small Does Not Always Mean Fast
 

It is a common misconception that smaller items print faster. While size plays a role, print time is affected by many other factors, including:

• Level of detail

• Layer height and resolution

• Wall thickness and structure

• Print orientation and supports

Some small items can take just as long, or longer, than larger pieces due to precision and detail requirements.

 

Printing Is Only Part of the Process
 

Once a design is complete, printing begins. Depending on the item, printing can take anywhere from under an hour to several hours. After printing, many items also require:

• Cooling time

• Light cleanup or finishing

• Quality checks to ensure everything meets our standards
